Walt Disney World® Resort Welcomes Its Newest Disney Princess!
                                         Princess Elena of Avalor

If you have an elementary aged child I am sure you know all about Princess Elena on Disney Jr. Friday nights at 7pm. On Thursday, August 11, 2016 Princess Elena was the first "crowned" princess introduced into the Disney family. She is busy traveling the world learning about other culture so she can take the information back to her country of Avalor. She arrived in Disney's Magic Kingdom by carriage and was introduced by Cinderella and Prince Charming. Her gown is made of over 14 yards of Avalorian satin with over 900 embroidered flowers and her crown is encrusted with 222 jewels. This is the gown that Princess Elena wore when she was crowned Princess of Avalor in her home country.

Guest traveling to Walt Disney World® Resort's Magic Kingdom can meet Princess Elena for autographs and photos on Main Street USA.

Welcome Princess Eleana! We can't wait to meet you on our return travels!

Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade Will Be Ending!

You have already heard that Disney has officially announced that one of the favorite nighttime attractions at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom will be bidding a shimmering farewell ride down Main Street USA on October 9, 2016. If you have not ever not seen this parade, or if it's one of your favorite, you will may want to plan a quick trip to see it one last time before it's gone.

The Main Street Electrical Parade made it's debut at Walt Disney World® Resort in 1977, before returning back to Disneyland® Park in Anaheim, California where it stayed until 2010 and has been one of the most beloved entertainment spectacles anywhere. Watching this parade has become a rite of passage for many Disney fans with parent and grandparents wanting to watch it with their children over the years.

This parade will now be traveling cross-country to Disneyland® Park in Anaheim, California, where it originally premiered in 1972, for a limited time encore engagement early next year (2017).

In addition to this news, the Paint the Night Parade will also be ending its run at Disneyland® Park. What does this mean for Walt Disney World® Resort guests? Will the Paint the Night Parade be traveling cross-country to amaze Walt Disney World® Resort guests with it's awesomeness? We can only hope that is the plan to be put into motion.

Stay tuned as we learn more details of what's to come next for nighttime entertainment at Magic Kingdom here on the east coast!
